The application of mental health, psychological, or human development principles,through cognitive, affective, behavioral or systematic intervention strategies, that address wellness, personal growth, or career development, as well as pathology.

Professional Counseling Specialty:

A Professional Counseling Specialty is narrowly focused, requiring advanced knowledge in the field founded on the premise that all Professional Counselors must first meet the requirements for the general practice of professional counseling.

Holistic Counseling offers an empowering place for healing and dares you to more courageously step into your hopes and dreams.  Exploration differs from traditional forms of psychotherapy, and might involve:

  • Enhancing your relationships through learning to communicate more effectively and compassionately in couples or family counseling;
  • Awakening to mind-body connections through breath work & movement exercises and/or collaboration with complimentary or traditional healthcare providers;
  • Exploring spirituality, meaning, gratitude, intention, mindfulness & simplicity;
  • Expanding your relationship with nature for relaxation, grounding and inspiration;
  • Developing your awareness of your strengths and resources; and
  • Clarifying your values.
